Important information for customers who use Skype in communication with the bank!

Attention!

Dear customers,

Norvik Banka's IT Security Service calls your attentions to the fact that Norvik Banka’s phishing accounts have appeared in Skype. These phishing accounts are aimed at receiving customer’s data by illegal means. Phishers are trying to convince the customers that their Skype phishing accounts are Bank’s official accounts. Please note that Norvik Banka’s official Skype accounts are norvik.latvia and norvik.video.

When searching in Skype for the official Norvik Banka’s account, different results may come up. The phishers use account names which are similar to Bank’s official Skype account names. One of such approaches is to replace similar symbols in an account name (e.g. to replace “i” with “l”).

To make sure that a Skype account indeed belongs to Norvik Banka, please verify the profile information of the relevant account. Should you have any doubts about the authenticity of a Skype account, please contact the Customer Support Service by phone +3717041100 or using a contact form on the Bank’s home page www.norvik.eu. Additionally, you can contact the IT Security Service through the online bank (e-norvik.eu) section “Messages → Text message”, choosing in the section “Message receiver” the option “IT Security Service”.

A list of known phishing accounts:
norvik.vldeo, norvik.latvla, norvik bank, norvikbank, norvikbank.ru, norvik-bank, norvik.lepinsh, norvikbankaastra, norvikbankaivr, norvikbankaskype, meetings_online.

Please pay special attention to the phishing accounts where the “i” symbol is replaced with “l”:
norvik.latvla, norvik.vldeo.
