Privacy statement

The insolvent AS PNB Banka’s (“the Bank”) Privacy statement sets the privacy practice as to the Bank’s website. The Bank respects your rights to privacy and will not perform any personal data processing without your consent and without notification. Any information voluntarily provided to the Bank will be processed in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation No 2016/679 (“GDPR”), Personal Data Protection Law, and other laws and regulations effective in Latvia.

Personal data receivers: the controller and its authorised persons, law enforcement or supervisory authorities, in the cases and in accordance with the procedure provided in the applicable laws and regulations, as well as the data subject is entitled to request information about himself/herself that is stored with the Bank.

 

Personal data storage: The Bank stores personal data for as long as is needed to achieve the purpose of personal data processing or to fulfil the requirements laid down in the applicable laws and regulations of the Republic of Latvia. More information can be found in the Bank’s Privacy Policy.

 

Legal basis for data processing:

  • Data Subject has given his/her consent to data processing for one or several specific purposes;
  • Data processing is necessary to fulfil the requirements of an agreement, to which the Data Subject is a party, or to implement measures at the request of the Data Subject prior to entering into such agreement;
  • Data processing is necessary to fulfil a legal obligation applicable to the Bank;
  • Data processing is necessary to serve the legitimate interests of the Bank or the third party, except where interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject, requiring personal data protection, are more important than the legitimate interests of the Bank or the third party.

  • Provision of non-financial services;
  • Provision of remote services;
  • Surveillance to ensure safety of visitors, the Bank and its employees;
  • Taking actions related to fulfilment of statutory obligations;
  • Ensuring staff selection competition and serving own legal interests.
